Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the Digestive Health Center as part of the endoscopy team. You will assist with patient care, instrument handling, and room setup/teardown between cases, including reprocessing endoscopes and accessories.

Excellent communication and infection-control skills are essential. The role offers multiple shifts (8-, 9-, and 10-hour) with a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance to support flexible staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Surgical Technology or equivalent.
• Certification in CER within 18 months.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists in organization and coordination of supplies and equipment to maintain an efficient department.
• Collects data on assigned patients as directed by the RN.
• Performs accurate documentation in patient records as directed by standards.
• Maintains aseptic technique to keep a clean/sterile environment.
• Communicates effectively with team members and patients and families.
• Assists with procedures and treatments as directed by providers.
• Reprocesses endoscopes and sterilizes instruments per policy.
• Cleans and stocks exam rooms and procedure rooms.
• Obtains specimens and transports per hospital policy.
• Manages inventory and restocking of supplies.
