Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the Digestive Health Center’s endoscopy team. You will assist with patient care, instrument handling, and room setup/teardown between cases. Reprocessing of endoscopes and maintaining sterile technique are key responsibilities.

Multiple 8-, 9-, and 10-hour shifts are available, with sign-on and relocation bonuses. Certification requirements include CER within 18 months and BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or Certificate of Completion in Surgical Technology.
• Certification required or within 18 months CER (HSPA).
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with instruments and patient care during endoscopy procedures.
• Reprocess endoscopes and related accessories per policy.
• Maintain aseptic technique and sterile fields throughout procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms with supplies and equipment.
• Assist in cleaning, sterilizing, and restocking instruments and rooms.
• Document data in patient records as directed.
