Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the Digestive Health Center and endoscopy team. You will assist with patient care, instrument handling, and room setup/teardown between cases, including endoscope reprocessing.

Expect multiple shift options (8-, 9-, 10-hour) to fit your schedule. The role emphasizes sterile technique, teamwork, and efficient room turnover within a busy perioperative environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in infection prevention and asepsis principles.
• Able to scrub basic surgical procedures and assist with instruments.
• Strong communication and teamwork within perioperative care.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with procedures and treatments in endoscopy.
• Prepare procedure rooms and arrange supplies and equipment.
• Reprocess endoscopes and sterilize instruments per policy.
• Collect specimens and transport per hospital guidelines.
• Document patient data accurately in records.
• Assist with inventory and restocking of supplies.
• Provide care within RN-directed scope and support the team.
