Job summary

Carle Health's Digestive Health Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist to provide clinical support in the endoscopy team. The role includes patient care, specimen collection, instrument handling, and room setup/teardown between cases, with reprocessing of endoscopes and equipment support.

Multiple shifts are available (8-, 9-, 10-hour options) with sign-on and relocation bonuses. The department emphasizes infection control, sterile technique, and teamwork to ensure safe, efficient procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or Surgical Technology credential required.
• CER and BLS certifications within specified timelines.
• Excellent communication and infection control knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organization and coordination of supplies and equipment.
• Collect data on assigned patients and document in records.
• Maintain asepsis and sterile environment; separate clean and dirty areas.
• Assist physicians with procedures and specimens.
• Reprocess endoscopes and sterilize instruments per policy.
• Assist RN and care for patients within RN direction.
