Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the Digestive Health Center's endoscopy team. You will assist with patient care, instrument setup, specimen collection, and reprocessing of endoscopes and accessories.

This role offers multiple shifts (8-, 9-, and 10-hour options) with sign-on and relocation bonuses. Strong communication, infection control, and sterile technique are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology
• CER within 18 months; BLS within 30 days
• Excellent communication and infection control knowledge
• Able to scrub basic surgical procedures and assist with instruments
• Knowledge of asepsis and sterile technique

Responsibilities

• Assist with supplies and equipment organization for efficiency
• Collect data on assigned patients as directed by the RN
• Document patient records accurately
• Maintain sterile environment and asepsis
• Assist with cleaning and sterilization of instruments
• Prepare and stock exam/procedure rooms
• Obtain specimens and transport per policy
• Assist physicians with procedures and equipment
• Reprocess endoscopes
• Support RN and care within scope of practice
