Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for Endoscopy to support perioperative care across a network of ambulatory centers. You will develop patient plans, perform anesthesia recovery steps, and ensure instrument readiness in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited nursing degree, GI/OR experience, and active licensure. This role requires commitment to safety, patient advocacy, and interprofessional collaboration within a thriving team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of GI, OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Develop an individualized perioperative plan of care by implementing protocols and nursing interventions.
• Adhere to universal precautions and use of PPE; ensure patient safety and report unsafe conditions.
• Communicate patient status across the care continuum; administer medications using safe practices.
• Manage anesthesia recovery including moderate sedation and monitored anesthesia care.
• Prepare scopes and maintain endoscopy instruments and accessories in working order.
• Provide patient education on perioperative care, recovery expectations, and recovery milestones.
• Transfer care and provide hand-off reports to the team with concise, pertinent information.
