Job summary

Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse in Endoscopy to provide patient-centered care across inpatient and outpatient settings. The RN will float between procedure and pre/post areas, supporting both the endoscopy suite and main unit with up to 13 procedure rooms.

The RN collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure adherence to protocols, safety standards, and high-quality outcomes. 0-2 years of acute care nursing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with organizational policies and nursing process.
• Assesses patients and documents findings; reports changes to the care team.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within documented competency.
• Collaborates on development and evaluation of individualized care plans.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in CPR and code team activities.
• Provides patient and family education on conditions and post-discharge care.
