Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Registered Nurse in Endoscopy for full-time dayshift coverage (7:30am-6:00pm) with 4-10s, including call every 9th day. The role involves floating between procedure and pre/post in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The RN delivers patient-centered care using the nursing process, administers medications, assists physicians during procedures, and collaborates with the care team to plan and evaluate care while maintaining safety and infection control.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Document assessments and changes in condition to care team.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency.
• Develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR/code team.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and post-discharge care.
• Maintain infection control and monitor equipment.
• Endoscopy RN duties: obtain consent, monitor vitals, post-care, room prep.
