Job summary

Lutheran Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse in Endoscopy to float between procedure and pre/post areas, covering inpatient and outpatient settings. The role includes endoscopy procedures, patient assessment, and collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team.

The RN provides high-quality care in alignment with clinical protocols, supports patient education, and participates in infection control and safety initiatives within a 1.0 FTE daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.
• RN licensure in Indiana or a compact state is required.
• Endoscopy/Procedural nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care per nursing process and organizational protocols.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings; reports changes to care team.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for adverse effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within its documented competency and skill level.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in CPR/code team activities as needed.
• Provides patient/family education on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
