Job summary

Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne is seeking a Registered Nurse in Endoscopy to join the perioperative team. The RN will float between procedures and pre/post care, supporting both inpatient and outpatient patients in a fast-paced unit with 13 procedure rooms.

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, administer medications, monitor vitals, assist physicians during procedures, and educate patients and families about aftercare, safety, and recovery.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting required.
• RN license in state or compact required
• BCLS certification required
• ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Coordinates care with physicians and multidisciplinary team.
• Administers medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures and post-procedure care.
• Maintains infection control and patient safety standards.
• Documents care thoroughly in the medical record
