Job summary

Dubak Electrical Group in LaGrange, IL is hiring a full-time Information Technology Help Desk Technician to join our team. You will provide first-level support to end users, identify and resolve technical problems, and assist with hardware/software installation and maintenance.

You will document tickets, assist with onboarding, provide Microsoft 365 and Outlook support, troubleshoot connectivity, and follow IT security policies while collaborating with colleagues and vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–1 years IT-related technical experience with Windows workstations, Windows servers, network switching, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Associate degree, technical schooling, or related coursework preferred but not required.
• Exposure to Active Directory, Windows Server, LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs, switches, firewalls, or VoIP systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Outlook is preferred.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar entry-level IT certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support for employee hardware, software, connectivity, and general IT issues.
• Receive, document, troubleshoot, and resolve Help Desk tickets per IT procedures.
• Maintain the IT ticketing system with proper documentation and status updates.
• Escalate issues to higher-level IT staff when required.
• Assist with new employee IT setups (laptops/desktops, monitors, peripherals).
• Assist with basic user account setup, password resets, and access requests.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows workstations and approved apps.
• Provide Microsoft 365 and Outlook support to end users.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, including VPN and printers.
• Follow IT security policies and procedures; document solutions clearly.
