Job summary

FiveStar is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide front-line technical helpdesk support for store and office users in Bardstown, KY. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues across devices and helpdeploy new equipment.

You will assist with software installations, licensing, and routine maintenance, plus onboarding/offboarding and access management. Weekend coverage is required.

Qualifications

• 2-year college or technical degree in related field
• 2 years of experience in helpdesk/desktop support
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and OS
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Receive, log, and prioritize helpdesk tickets and troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues across devices.
• Set up, configure, and deploy new equipment including computers and peripherals; assist with mobile device enrollment.
• Assist with software installations, updates, and licensing; perform routine maintenance and health checks.
• Assist onboarding/offboarding including account setup, device provisioning, and access rights management.
• Escalate complex issues to IT Manager with documentation; collaborate with POS and FT teams on cross-functional issues.
• Maintain accurate helpdesk records and knowledge base; help develop user guides and FAQs.
• Assist in training end users on technology tools and best practices.
• Provide rotational weekend and holiday support coverage as scheduled.
