Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Deskside Support engineer in Hartford, CT to deliver hands-on hardware and software support for laptops, printers, and peripherals. You will coordinate with central IT teams and keep users informed through to closure.

Responsibilities include OS and app support, VPN checks, and asset management, with escalation to Windows/EUC, M365, SharePoint, and security teams as needed.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of IT End User Computing, Desktop Support, or Field Support experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and Office apps.
• Experience troubleshooting laptops, desktops, printers, and peripherals.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on hardware and software support to end users.
• Coordinate with central IT teams for complex issues.
• Log, track, and resolve incidents in ITSM tools.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding and asset management.
