Job summary

Benefis Health System is seeking an IT Support Technician to install and update software and hardware for end users. You will optimize device efficiency, evaluate work environments for wiring, coordinate equipment movement, and resolve access issues with applications.

The role includes orienting users to devices, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with policies. A high school diploma with 1 year hardware support is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent with 1 year of computer hardware support experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Technical certification and training highly preferred.
• Experience in hardware and software installation and customer education.
• Familiar with current end user device technology and trends.
• Hospital or medical information systems experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs and updates computer and device software and hardware components for end users and optimizes efficiency.
• Evaluates work environments for appropriate network wiring and electrical connections and coordinates the movement of computers and related equipment.
• Resolves issues with end users' experience accessing applications and technologies and orients end users to optimum use of devices and applications.
• Performs routine maintenance on computer and peripheral equipment.
