Sturgis Bank is seeking a Support Specialist to ensure smooth computer operations for end users. You will receive, prioritize, document, and resolve help requests and provide hands-on desktop support, while installing and maintaining PCs and peripherals.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends to prevent future problems.
• Field incoming help requests from end users via phone or work orders.
• Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting.
• Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and FAQs to resolve issues.
• Identify and learn software and hardware used and supported by the organization.
• Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, install/update software, backups, printers, and peripherals.
• Test fixes to ensure problems are resolved.
• Perform post-resolution follow-ups with users.
• Set up equipment for employee use, including cables, OS, and software installation.
• Ask internal customers questions to diagnose problems.
• Prepare evaluations of software and hardware and submit recommendations.
• Perform related duties consistent with the position.
