Job summary

Oakland Community College is seeking an experienced IT professional to implement and maintain enterprise client platform solutions, including VDI environments, endpoint management, printing & faxing, classroom technologies, and Microsoft 365 services.

You will work under the Senior Client Services Platform Engineer to deliver platform projects, maintain configurations, and support end-user computing infrastructure for OCC staff, faculty, and students.

Qualifications

Associate degree or 5+ years of position relevant experience, with at least 2 years supporting enterprise endpoint solutions.
Experience in higher education environments preferred.
Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Work with IT to meet end user computing and classroom technology needs for staff, faculty, and students.
Acquire, maintain, and expand knowledge of products and support standards to provide accurate solutions.
Review IT trouble tickets and service requests; analyze and improve customer service.
Develop and communicate user/technical service procedures for supported products/services.
Create and maintain enterprise technical documentation and configuration standards.
Participate in campus committees and contribute to initiatives.
Develop configuration standards for endpoint and classroom technologies aligned with security policies.
Evaluate vendor proposals and conduct technical due diligence for platform acquisitions.
Mentor with Senior Engineer to grow technical and professional capabilities.
Assist in maintaining existing enterprise client service platforms.
Execute project tasks within timelines and quality standards.
