Job summary

GardenCore LLC is seeking an experienced End User Computing and Field Support Lead to install and support desktop PCs and notebook computers across the organization. The role covers Windows OS, MS Office, printers, and related software, with travel up to 25% to GardenCore sites nationwide.

You will manage over 58 sites in the U.S. and guide a team of End User Computing Analysts to ensure high-quality end-user support and deployment services.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Five or more years of PC installation and end-user support experience.
• Advanced knowledge of PC hardware and software technologies.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems, MS Office, and MS Outlook.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Solid understanding of basic networking concepts.
• Strong interpersonal communication with all levels of staff, vendors, and IT personnel.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to GardenCore locations nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Assess end-user computing needs and report on environment effectiveness and improvement opportunities.
• Lead and coordinate installation, configuration, maintenance, and support for PC desktops and notebooks, including hardware, Windows OS, Office, printers, and related software.
• Provide daily guidance to End User Computing Analysts on technical and procedural issues.
• Develop work plans and allocate resources for PC hardware/software deployment and projects; provide hands-on implementation as needed.
• Ensure support/deployment requirements are met, delegating work when appropriate.
• Set measurable goals for the End User Computing team and monitor progress.
• Monitor process efficiency and maintain deployment processes to maximize efficiency and satisfaction.
• Maintain hardware/software stability across desktops/notebooks following standards and procedures.
• Ensure high levels of user satisfaction through proactive service and collaboration.
• Coordinate resources for product selection, implementation, maintenance, and support activities.
• Prepare documentation for troubleshooting, cross-training, and inventory analysis.
• Demonstrate advanced understanding of PC desktop/notebook environments and provide guidance.
