Job summary

ABB is seeking an Order-to-Delivery Business Lead to own on-time, in-full delivery for a high-volume manufacturing value stream across demand, production, inventory, and warehouse stages. You will collaborate with an SAP solution lead as equals and have authority to change processes and rules behind your number.

You will work remotely from anywhere in the US or Canada, with travel to plants, distribution centers, and the Cary, NC office, aligning with North American time zones.

Qualifications

• A degree in supply chain, engineering, business or a related field.
• 8+ years in manufacturing or distribution in planning, scheduling, inventory, fulfillment, order management or operations; includes 3+ years accountable for an operational result.
• Able to follow an order from demand to shipment across plants and distribution centers; Make-to-stock, make-to-order or both are valued.
• Experience tracing delivery misses with data, finding the real cause, and making a lasting fix.
• Hands-on SAP experience in order fulfillment; SAP design or configuration not required.
• Experience building own data tools, analyses, dashboards, automations or AI workflows.
• Demonstrates curiosity, adaptability, and openness to new information in ambiguity.
• Demonstrates impact by sharing outcomes and building partnerships across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own one business outcome: orders shipped complete on the committed date.
• Identify root causes of missed orders and fix underlying issues, not just symptoms.
• Set priorities for fixes, builds, and changes to stock allocation or processes.
• Drive change across plants, distribution centers, and system teams not directly under you.
• Run short experiments (1–2 months) and retain what improves the number.
• Report results honestly to business leaders, including issues and risks.
