Job summary

ABB seeks an Order-to-Delivery Business Lead to own on-time, in-full delivery for a high-volume manufacturing value stream. You will manage demand, replenishment, production, inventory, warehouse, and shipment end-to-end, co-owning outcomes with an SAP solution lead.

This is a founding, hands-on business role reporting to the VP of IT, with authority to change processes and systems. Remote in US/Canada with travel to plants and Cary, NC office.

Qualifications

• Degree in supply chain, engineering, business or related field.
• 8+ years in manufacturing or distribution in planning, scheduling, inventory, fulfillment, order management or operations; includes 3+ years accountable for an operational result.
• Able to follow an order from demand to shipment across plants and distribution centers; make-to-stock or make-to-order valued.
• You have traced delivery misses with data and fixed the root causes.
• You use SAP hands-on in order fulfillment.
• Experience building data tools, analyses, dashboards, automations or AI workflows.
• Curious, adaptable, and open to ambiguity.
• Demonstrated impact by delivering outcomes and partnering cross-functionally.
• Authorization to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

• Own one business outcome: orders shipped complete on the committed date.
• Find root causes of missed orders using data and fix causes rather than expediting symptoms.
• Set priorities for fixes, builds, or changes including stock allocation rules.
• Manage change across plants, distribution centers and system teams that do not report to you.
• Run short experiments (1–2 months) and keep what moves the number.
• Report results honestly to business leaders, including what is not working.
