Job summary

ABB is seeking an Order-to-Delivery Business Lead to own on-time, in-full delivery for a high-volume manufacturing value stream. You will manage demand, production, inventory, warehouse and shipment end-to-end, reporting to the VP of IT and collaborating with SAP teams.

This is a founding, hands-on role with authority to change processes and systems, remote from anywhere in the US or Canada with travel to plants and the Cary, NC office.

Qualifications

• Degree in supply chain, engineering, business or related field.
• 8+ years in manufacturing or distribution in planning, scheduling, inventory, fulfillment, order management or operations with 3+ years accountable for a business result such as on-time in-full or inventory.
• Able to follow an order from demand to shipment across plants and distribution centers; make-to-stock or make-to-order experience.
• SAP hands-on in order fulfillment; SAP design or configuration not required.
• Experience building data tools, analyses, dashboards, automations or AI workflows.
• Demonstrates curiosity, adaptability, and openness to new information amid ambiguity.
• Effective communication across plant managers, sales and SAP teams.
• Candidates must already possess authorization to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

• Own one business outcome: orders shipped complete on the committed date.
• Identify root causes of missed orders using data and fix root causes.
• Set priorities for fixes, builds, changes including stock allocation rules.
• Manage change across plants, DCs and system teams.
• Run short experiments (1–2 months) and keep what moves the number.
• Report results honestly to business leaders.
