Job summary

GEORG FISCHER in Irvine, CA is seeking an Order Management Specialist Level 1 to process customer orders accurately and track interactions in CRM. You will ensure timely fulfillment, resolve basic discrepancies, and collaborate with internal teams via Microsoft Teams.

Responsibilities include order entry for EDI and non-EDI, monitoring delivery times, backorder releases, and preparing customer and sales reports. A daily in-office schedule supports close coordination with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years in order management or customer service, preferably in operations or manufacturing.
• Familiarity with ERP SAP and CRM Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
• Excellent Excel, Word and Outlook skills; proficient in MS Office.
• In-office role, Monday through Friday; able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Process all order administration activities (EDI and non-EDI) and ensure accurate entry and logistics.
• Check open orders, availability of articles, monitor delivery times, and send confirmations.
• Advise customers/suppliers/transporters about orders, shortages, delivery dates, price changes and deviations.
• Monitor backorder releases, merge orders when needed, set delivery dates and ensure timely releases.
• Prepare reports on inquiries, sales trends, complaints and returns.
• Administer complaints handling and coordinated returns, monitoring status and payment dates.
• Maintain records and communicate updates clearly to customers and internal teams.
