Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks an EMT-appropriate Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility, assess donor safety, manage adverse events, and review laboratory results.

The role reports to the Center Manager and works under a Center Physician for medical issues, with responsibilities spanning donor interactions, EHS coordination, and vaccination program support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state of assignment (EMT-B/A/I/P, LPN/LVN, RN).
• CPR and AED certification; meet state IV therapy requirements; two years in clinical/hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent and donor history review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical issues or guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage incidents and coordinate with EHS for occupational health concerns.
