BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist to ensure donor eligibility, monitor donor reactions, and coordinate with the Center Physician for medical issues. This role supports vaccination programs and enforces safety procedures in a plasma center environment.

You will work under the Center Manager for operations and under Medical Affairs for medical guidance, ensuring compliance with FDA training requirements and center-level safety standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified in the responsible state: EMT-B/A/I/P, LPN/LVN or RN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• IV therapy eligibility per state requirements.
• FDA training completion for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsabilités

• Determine donor eligibility with informed consent, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical exam, and blood testing.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and follow EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations.
