Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility, review test results, and support center operations. You will oversee donor safety, adverse events, and compliance under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

You should hold EMT or nursing licensure, CPR/AED, and have clinical experience. The role offers stable hours, comprehensive benefits, and growth within BioLife and Takeda.

Qualifications

• State licensure in EMT or nursing as listed (EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN, RN).
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, medical history, and donor interview per SOPs.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies with Center Physician guidance.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/ER as needed.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations.
