Qualifications

• Licensed or certified EMTs or nurses in the applicable state.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• State requirements for basic IV therapy where licensed.
• FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training completed.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer for medical issues to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage occupational health incidents with EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator if authorized.
