Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility, assess donor safety, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable tests. This role operates under the Center Manager and Center Physician, applying regulatory knowledge of plasma collection and EHS guidelines.

Qualifications

• EMT license or nursing license required in respective state.
• CPR/AED certified; basic clinical skills.
• Experience in donor screening or patient assessment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including consent, medical history, and testing.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs when needed.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage occupational health/ER incidents with EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator if authorized.
