Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks Medical Support Specialists (EMT) to determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable tests. You will work under a Center Manager and Center Physician guidance to ensure donor safety and plasma center operations.

Ideal candidates hold EMT certifications (EMT-B/A/I/P, RN or LPN/LVN), CPR/AED, and have 2+ years clinical/hospital experience, with FDA training completed.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified EMT in the state(s) where duties are assigned.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Complete FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, and medical history interview.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
