Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, LP seeks an experienced Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility, review test results, and manage donor safety within a regulated plasma donation center. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician to ensure compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Licensed EMT in the state where responsibilities will be assigned (EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P)
• Current CPR and AED certification
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
• FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, donor history, physical examination and screening tests
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical events per SOPs
• Follow SOPs for medical emergencies and coordinate with Center Physician for guidance
• Refer complex medical issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/ER
• Refer to EHS guidance for incidents and pandemic preparedness
