Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations in McDonough, GA. Qualifications

• High school diploma or nursing program equivalent with state licensure requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state (EMT/EMT-P/LPN/LVN/RN) with CPR/AED.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, education, and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and arrange care in emergencies.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist with investigations.
