Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations in Augusta, GA. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor safety, review lab results, and coordinate with the Center Manager and Medical Affairs to ensure compliant donor care.

Role requires EMT licenses or nursing credentials, CPR/AED certification, and experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, EMT-P, LPN/LVN, RN
• Current CPR and AED certification
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
• FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, self-exclusion, medical history interview and physical examination
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and manage medical emergencies
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees
• Manage employee incidents per EHS guidance and occupational health
• Possibly serve as Pandemic Coordinator as authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs
