Zusammenfassung

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review laboratory results, monitor adverse events, and notify donors of unsuitable test results.

You will work under the Center Manager for operations and under the Center Physician for medical issues, ensuring compliance with plasma collection regulations and BioLife policies.

Qualifikationen

• Must hold state licensure/certification for EMT-A or EMT-P.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA-mandated BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.

Aufgaben

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, and testing review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and medical emergencies per SOPs; arrange transport when needed.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical questions.
• Support vaccination programs for staff as applicable.
• Manage occupational health/ER incidents per EHS guidance; engage Pandemic Coordinator duties if authorized.
