Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks Medical Support Specialist to assess donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review test results, and notify donors of unsuitable outcomes. You will work under Center Manager guidance for operations and Center Physician for medical issues, with familiarity in regulatory plasma collection standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent to include nursing program with state requirements.
• Current EMT/ nursing licensure in the responsible state: EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility incl informed consent, medical history, and testing.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings or guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance.
• Potential Pandemic Coordinator duties as authorized.
