Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a PRN Emergency Powers ED technician in Colorado Springs to provide emergent/urgent patient care under physician and nursing supervision. Onsite role with shifts described as Flex; pay ranges from $19.10 to $24.83 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities include establishing IV access, collecting specimens, and assisting with procedures, with emphasis on patient flow and safety in a fast-paced ED setting.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Current EMT license with IV certification.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required; renewals per American Heart Association/Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Establish IV access, collect specimens, provide wound care, transport patients.
• Assist with examinations, minor surgical interventions, orthopedic treatment, and resuscitation.
• Report abnormal findings to medical staff.
• Maintain patient flow and keep rooms clean, stocked, and orderly.
