Job summary

UCHealth Fountain ED seeks a PRN Emergency Department EMT to provide emergent patient care under physicians, PAs, and RNs in the Fountain ED. This on-site role requires night availability and a strong emergency care foundation.

Responsibilities include IV access, specimen collection, wound care, ECGs, and assisting with examinations and resuscitation. BLS and EMT with IV certification are required; prior experience is not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Requires BLS CPR certification and EMT licensure with IV certification.
• HS Diploma or GED required; additional certifications as determined at position level.

Responsibilities

• Establish IV access, collect specimens, provide wound care, and transport patients.
• May perform ECGs and monitor vital statistics/telemetry.
• Assist physicians and nurses with examinations, minor procedures, and resuscitation.
• Report abnormal findings to medical staff and ensure patient flow and room readiness.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
