Job summary

UCHealth is seeking an on-site Emergency Department technician in Fountain, CO. The role involves providing emergent patient care under physicians, PAs, or RNs, with responsibilities ranging from IV access to specimen collection and wound care.

The position requires a HS diploma or GED, EMT licensure with IV certification (or EMT-I), and BLS. It is a full-time, day-shift, on-site role with hourly pay dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Current EMT licensure with IV certification, or EMT-I.
• BLS through AHA/ARC with card in-hand before start date; valid through 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Establish IV access and collect specimens.
• Provide wound care and transport patients.
• May perform ECGs and vital statistics/telemetry monitoring.
• Assist physicians and nurses with examinations, minor procedures, and resuscitation.
• Report abnormal findings to medical staff.
• Assist with patient flow and keep rooms clean and stocked.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
