Job summary

Community First Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for a full-time role. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse to perform delegated patient care tasks in a fast-paced ED environment.

The position runs 7am-7pm with variable days including weekends, and requires CNA/PCT/EMT-B certification and a HS diploma. Benefits include health, dental, vision, PTO, disability, life insurance, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• CNA, PCT, or EMT-B certification required.
• Prefer one year of experience in a fast paced healthcare setting.
• Team player with excellent customer satisfaction and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as directed by the RN.
• Assist RN with therapeutic treatments and communicate responses.
• Survey for safety needs and changes in patient condition.
• Keep patient rooms clean, comfortable, and orderly.
• Identify education needs and report to RN.
• Transport patients using wheelchair or stretcher.
• Place stable patients on remote telemetry as needed.
• Stock units, maintain equipment, and order supplies.
• Prepare rooms after disposition and manage supplies.
• Participate in Emergency Preparedness and HazMat requirements.
• Answer calls promptly and courteously per policy.
