Job summary

National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians is seeking Communications Specialists (EMT Dispatchers) to answer emergency medical and fire calls and dispatch ambulances and fire resources. Dispatchers process calls using established protocols and provide caller instructions for patient care while ensuring appropriate resources are sent to the scene.

The role offers a full training academy, relocation assistance, and benefits with eligibility for full-time status.

Qualifications

• EMT qualification is required or in progress.
• Must be able to work any shift (days, nights, weekends, and holidays).
• Full training academy will develop skills to process calls and dispatch resources.
• Prior medical or fire experience is preferred.
• EMT course can be completed onsite at REMSA Health facility.

Responsibilities

• Answer emergency medical and fire calls and dispatch ambulances and fire resources.
• Process calls using established protocols and guide callers with patient care steps.
• Dispatch the closest appropriate response resource and communicate safety concerns.
