FailSafe Communications in Reno, NV is seeking a Communications Specialist (EMT Dispatcher) to answer emergency medical and fire calls and dispatch ambulances and fire resources.

You will process calls using established protocols, instruct callers on patient care, and relay safety concerns to determine additional precautions or equipment needs. The role requires flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifikationen

• Ability to pass CritiCall Exam.
• Ability to pass EMT Entrance Exam (if no prior EMT course).
• Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
• Ability to multi-task, attentive to detail in various forms.
• Ability to work any 12-hour shift (days, nights, weekends, and holidays).

• Answer emergency medical and fire calls for service and dispatch ambulances and fire resources to locations requesting help.
• Process emergency medical and fire related calls using established protocols and provide caller instructions for patient care.
• Communicate safety concerns involving patients and responders to determine additional precautions or equipment needed.
