Job summary

Advantage Ambulance is seeking an EMS Dispatcher to answer, evaluate, and triage transport requests. You will deploy resources, communicate with callers, and maintain professionalism during high-stress calls.

The role requires EMT/EMD/ETC certification or the ability to attain one, plus 12-hour rotating shifts. Prior EMS or dispatch experience is preferred, with a strong focus on customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Requires EMT/EMD/ETC certification or ability to attain.
• Minimum 1 year of direct customer service experience (preferred).
• Experience in a communications center or as an EMS dispatcher (preferred).
• Previous work as EMT, Paramedic, CNA, or LVN (preferred).
• Availability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (required).
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Answer, evaluate, and triage all transport requests.
• Deploy the most appropriate resources for each call.
• Maintain a calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
• Take direction and work independently or as part of a team.
• Communicate effectively with callers and facility staff.
• Familiarity with service areas, geography, and roadways.
• Document all transactions using CAD and computer systems.
