Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work with diverse individuals.
• Must have computer competency including proficiency with Microsoft Suite and understanding of database programs.
• Typing 40 wpm (minimum).
• Must be able to deliver outstanding customer service to all internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prioritise all incoming calls and channel emergencies effectively.
• Dispatch vehicles to emergency and non-emergency calls promptly.
• Make moment-to-moment decisions for dispatching units.
• Triages requests according to CBD guidelines; training provided.
• Maintain communication with field units and other agencies via radio and phone.
• Complete reports and data entry; learn new computer programs as needed.
