Job summary

FailSafe Communications is seeking a Dispatcher to handle 911 calls and medical dispatch operations in Denver, CO. You will coordinate ambulance movements, gather critical data, and initiate EMS dispatch procedures as part of a structured career ladder.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with 1 year of public safety/911 experience or 2 years in related dispatching. EMT-B preferred; CPR/EMD and ICS certifications must be completed within set timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of public safety, 911 or emergency medical dispatching experience required or two years in related public contact work.
• One year of EMT-B on an ambulance preferred.
• CPR, EMD, CJIS certifications must be obtained within one month of hire.
• ICS 100, 200, 700, 800 must be obtained within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Answers 911 and other emergency lines from callers requesting medical assistance.
• Monitors and controls the movement of ambulances.
• Initiates Emergency Medical Dispatch procedures.
• Gathers and prioritizes data received from emergency telephone contacts.
• Receives reports and records pertinent information.
• Maintains and distributes updates of hospital divert status changes.
• Assist with orientation of new employees.
