Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking an experienced Medical Support Specialist to assess donors, determine eligibility, and ensure donor safety in the plasma donation process. You will operate under center leadership and medical direction to support center operations.

The role requires state EMT licensure (EMT-B/A/I/P), CPR/AED certification, and clinical experience. BioLife offers comprehensive benefits, predictable schedules, and growth opportunities in a life-saving field.

Qualifications

• State-licensed EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I or EMT-P in the responsible state.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, and post-test review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs and standing orders.
• Consult Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance on medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with Occupational Health/EHS as needed.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and assist with investigations as directed.
