Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is hiring an EMT-Bas ic Medical Support Specialist at the Cedar Falls plasma center. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor safety, and support laboratory results review under center guidance. A valid EMT-B license, CPR/AED, and two years of clinical experience are required.

The role supports vaccination programs, incident management, and adherence to SOPs and regulatory guidelines, with competitive benefits and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified in the responsible state: EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I or EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Meet state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist completed.
• At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer medical issues to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Assist with occupational health and EHS incident guidance as applicable.
