BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist with EMT credentials in Chattanooga, TN to determine donor eligibility and support plasma center operations. You will review tests, manage donor safety, and coordinate with the Center Physician under SOPs.

Requirements include EMT licensure (B/A/I/P), CPR/AED, and at least two years in a clinical setting. Expect a predictable schedule and comprehensive benefits in a supportive team environment.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent; nursing program graduate equivalent per state requirements
• Currently licensed or certified in the state for EMT-B/A/I/P, LPN/LVN, or RN
• Current CPR and AED certifications
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
• FDA-approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting

Responsabilidades

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview, physical exam, blood testing, and SPE review
• Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies including standing orders and donor transport
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues and donor safety
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees
• Manage employee incidents and determine need for occupational health/ER evaluation with EHS guidance
• Possibly act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations for pandemic threats
