Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist with EMT credentials to determine donor eligibility, review test results, and manage donor safety in a plasma donation environment. You’ll operate under Center Manager guidance and align with Medical Affairs for medical issues, with an emphasis on safety, compliance, and patient support.

You will help coordinate vaccination programs, monitor donor responses, and participate in EHS-guided activities to uphold quality and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; state licensure in EMT or nursing.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Familiarity with regulations of plasma collection or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, physical exam, and testing as required.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings or medical guidance.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage incidents per EHS guidance and assist with investigations as needed.
