Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Mesquite, TX is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review laboratory test results, and communicate with donors under supervision. The role supports plasma center operations and adheres to regulatory guidance to ensure donor safety.

The position requires EMT licensure (EMT-B/A/P), CPR/AED certification, and clinical experience.

Qualifications

• EMT certification and licensure suitable for EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-P with current CPR/AED.
• Nursing licensure (RN/LPN/LVN) or equivalent educational background.
• Experience in clinical or hospital settings preferred and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent and medical history review.
• Assess donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies and donor transport.
• Refer complex medical findings to Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
• Support vaccination programs for Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu as applicable.
• Manage employee health incidents and coordinate with EHS as required.
• Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and assist investigations.
