Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in the USA TX - Lubbock is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to apply EMT skills in donor eligibility, safety, and plasma center operations.

You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor events, review lab results, and support medical and environmental health programs under Center Manager and Center Physician guidance. This role requires EM T licenses and CPR/AED, plus clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned (EMT-B/A/I/P, LPN/LVN, RN).
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical/technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS as needed.
• Possibly serve as Pandemic Coordinator as authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.
