Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Medical Support Specialist with EMT credentials to support plasma donor safety and center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review lab results, and communicate test outcomes to donors under physician guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including nursing program.
• Licensed or certified EMT (EMT-B/A/I/P) or RN/LPN.
• CPR and AED certification.
• FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, and physical examination.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with guidance from EHS and occupational health.
