Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Corpus Christi, TX, seeks a Medical Support Specialist with EMT credentials to support plasma donation and donor care. You will determine donor eligibility, review laboratory results, and assist in managing donor safety under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

Qualifications

• EMT-credentials and state licensure in applicable scope.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Ability to determine donor eligibility and manage donor safety.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, and testing.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage occupational health incidents and coordinate with EHS.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized.
