Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Austin, TX is seeking a Medical Support Specialist with EMT credentials to support the plasma donation process and ensure donor safety.

You will perform donor eligibility assessments, manage adverse events, review laboratory results, and coordinate with the Center Manager and Medical Affairs. The role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, with opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• EMT license(s) and current CPR/AED certification required.
• Experience in clinical or hospital setting preferred.
• Must meet state licensure requirements for responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, and examination.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and follow EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.
